I made this pie for my husband's Valentine's Day dinner. I used Alton Brown's Sugar Apple Pie recipe. The crust is made with a great deal of butter and applejack brandy. The filling is a variety of apples, cider, tapioca flour, apple jelly, caraway and sugar. We didn't have time to let the pie rest for the recommended four hours after baking, so we ate it slightly warm, but oh it was good! It was even better the day after.
